The Standard

What it takes to be listed.

Every company in the directory has been reviewed against the criteria below. Meeting one is not enough — we look for firms that satisfy all of them.

01

Credentials

Active IICRC certifications for the services offered. State licensing and current general liability + workers' compensation insurance. Where applicable, NADCA, RIA, or CMR credentials.

02

Reputation

Long-form review history across multiple platforms. No pattern of unresolved complaints. BBB standing reviewed. Local market tenure is a plus but not required — young firms with strong reviews and clear ownership qualify.

03

Service Coverage

A clearly defined and honest service area. We do not list companies that claim coverage of cities they cannot realistically dispatch to within a reasonable window.

04

Response Standard

True 24/7 emergency availability, with a stated response window we can verify. Named dispatch for water damage and sewage losses, where minutes matter.

05

Ethical Billing

No pattern of predatory pricing, forced assignment of benefits, or aggressive insurance claim tactics. We look for transparent estimating and clear customer communication.
