Editorial policy
Directory content is written and reviewed by The Restoration Directory editorial team. This page explains how that work is done and where its limits are.
Sourcing
Company information comes from three places: the business itself, public records, and third-party verification providers. Each is labelled on the page. Where a fact cannot be established, it is omitted rather than estimated.
No invented facts
The directory does not fabricate services, service areas, credentials, awards, staff, reviews, projects, prices, warranties, response times or business history. Editorial writing organises supplied information; it does not create it.
Reviews and ratings
Review excerpts are reproduced as written and attributed to their source. Ratings are never altered, averaged across unrelated sources, or displayed without the review count they came from.
Separation from commercial relationships
A paid Directory Certified subscription funds editorial review and profile maintenance. It does not buy a favourable conclusion, and it does not change ordering within a listing group. Certification can be withheld or withdrawn regardless of subscription status.
Corrections
Corrections are accepted from anyone. Submit a correction with the page URL and what is wrong; material corrections are reflected on the profile and recorded in its review history.
